It is the most powerful bike available under BDT 3 lakh at 25 bhp, and its lightweight, aggressive character makes it the most fun per taka you can buy in this country. But it is not for everyone — and this review will tell you exactly who should and who shouldn't buy one in Bangladesh.

What is the KTM Duke 200?

KTM (Kraftfahrzeuge Trunkenpolz Mattighofen) is an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer known for building some of the most exciting and capable motorcycles on the planet. The Duke 200 uses a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine in a steel trellis frame — a scaled-down version of KTM's larger Duke siblings. It is assembled in India by Bajaj Auto under a partnership agreement.

Engine and Performance

The 199.5cc DOHC liquid-cooled engine produces 25 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm. In practical terms, this means the Duke 200 is significantly faster than anything in its price range in Bangladesh. 0-100 kmph in under 10 seconds is entirely achievable. KTM has an authorised dealer network primarily in Dhaka and major cities. Spare parts are more expensive than Yamaha or Honda, and not every roadside mechanic can work on it.
